I had 3 days to fill, just me and my lil' buddy, Wyatt.  I quickly realized that I was going to trash the house, shower infrequently, eat leftovers/delivered pizza, and just make sure that we had the most fun weekend ever.  Here are some highlights (and lowlights) -

• stomping in the water at Golden Gardens; very fun until Wyatt fell and was soaked in frigidly cold water - and then he pooped, forcing a sandy quick change on the beach - ouch, very gritty
• dinner at Thaiku was good, I sucked down a Mai Tai in record time; then Wyatt discovered how fun it was to fling rice across the room so we wrapped up dinner pretty quick
• next day:  ummm, why is he waking up at 6am? (he did this 2 days in a row; his normal wake up is around 7)
• it was pouring rain on and off throughout the day - we made a quick visit to petco to look at the turtles and the chinchillas which were really fun to watch, frantically bouncing around their cage
• made trip to Science Center with the main goal of getting out of the rain and finding the quickest route to the indoor amusement park, Fun Forest - I proudly took Wyatt on the Puff & Dumbo ride and the Frogger - he seemed to like both rides, he wasn't smiling or laughing but also wasn't screaming or crying so I think it was a huge success!  I love carnivals, amusement parks, and most of all, roller coasters - I cannot wait to take Wyatt on some big rides - btw, most of the rides just said he had to be 30" or taller - and, don't worry, the rides are all controlled by responsible, stoned teenagers -
• next day:  I'm feeling really tired (starting to count hours til Kenz is back)...but, it's a nice sunny day - perfect for a trip to the sculpture park; it was a fun trip, we met another toddler Wyatt's age and they had a blast chasing each other around one of my favorite sculptures, Wake by Richard Serra

Phew...it was a super fun boy's weekend and I can't wait to do it again (although maybe I'll let my wife do it next time while I go on a mini vacation!)

Oh, and I forgot to mention - Wyatt pooped in the tub for the first time ever - that was fun.
