The Easter Bunny (EB) made a visit to our house on Sunday. Wyatt was impressed with the contents of his basket. The *EB tried to find some alternatives to straight up candy. Contents included:

  • Bunny and egg shaped chalk
  • Easter egg stickers
  • Bunny rabbit stuffed animal
  • Wind-up bunny toy
  • Coloring book
  • Rainbow Goldfish
  • And some candy...honey sticks, chocolate bunny and my favorite a Theo's chocolate covered marshmallow egg.

Made my first quiche yesterday and it was a complete success! Kept it simple with ham & cheese and store bought crust. Delicious!

Wyatt's first foray into egg dying on Saturday. Not surprisingly he loved it. Most of his eggs ended up in a greenish hue. I couldn't resist dying a few myself. Sunday morning the egg hunt ensued. We hid the dyed eggs along with plastic eggs filled with treasures and candy. Wyatt much preferred the plastic eggs over the real eggs.

Last night we converted Wyatt's crib to a toddler bed (AKA Big Boy Bed). Kaila, Wyatt's cousin (visiting from NJ) was the first to put him to bed in his new digs! So far so good, no random night walking, playing, or getting out of his bed.

Six nights near Kaanapali and 2 nights in Wailea. Wyatt did an amazing job flying to and fro and enjoyed spending time with his Nana & Poppy. Lex & I managed to get out a few nights. We were lucky enough to be there during Whale migration season. We saw hundreds of whales off shore frolicking in the warm waters of Hawaii. Sad to come home to rain & cold. Must plan another vacation soon!

Wyatt's really into hugging at the moment. "Mommy, hug please". He has names for all the different kinds of hugs: hand hugs, cheek hugs, elbow hugs, knee hugs - you name it. I am really liking this phase.
